Formed in 2014 as the artistic vision of founder, guitarist and main songwriter Efthymios “Eetu Errenor” Tsiplakidis, the band went through many lineup changes over the course of the next 3 years, of which the current lineup of Lazaros Bouroutzoglou (lead guitars) and Michail Chatzipanagiotou (keyboards) remains to the present day. After several local live shows, the frustration of not finding members to support the vision and internal disagreements led to the putting of band in ice in 2017. Several years later, in a meeting of the original 3 by chance and several beers, the reunion was decided. Picking up right when they left, the band proceeded to hire drummer Vasileios Kokkonis and vocalist Deadmeat to record the long in the making debut “Choices Wrought In Twilight” throughout 2024 and 2025. Delays and many other problems continuing to arise, the band pushed through and the debut was released on April 12 2026. Drummer Asterios Zisios joined shortly after. Ominous Portent is currently looking to bring their vision of ice and snow to the stage and resume its live presence.
